Test objects (phantoms)

Two test objects are available for calibration of surface coils and for spectroscopic tests.

160 mm dual chamber test object  for curved surface coils (shown in its storage packaging)	200 mm dual chamber test object for flat surface coils

Each test object inlcudes:

• Outer clylinder - filled with saline solution to provide loading equivlent to a typical body loading
• Inner cylinder - this acts as a guide to allow insertion of test samples at the required distance from the surface of the rf surface coil.
• Sample tubes - glass and plastic bottles that can be filled with appropriate test liquids
• A guide rod and cap adaptor - this enables the sample tube to held at the required distance from the rf coil.

Two styles of test object are available:

• 160 mm diameter test object designed for surface coils with curved surface.
• 200 mm diameter test object for flat surface coils.
